With more than two decades of practical courtroom experience, I have also enriched my profession by serving as a public advocate and effecting collaborative systems changes. My career, punctuated with an intense dedication to equity and accessibility, reflects my commitment to individuals with disabilities and underserved communities. I am passionate about my roles, whether it includes shaping legislation, authoring legal content, or mentoring future professionals.
Moreover, I have played a key role in bridging gaps by leading interdisciplinary teams and building coalitions across government, non-profit, and community sectors. At The Arc of New Mexico, I steered statewide policy changes, engaging directly with legislators and stakeholders to advocate for rights-based initiatives. Here, I led strategic outreach campaigns to amplify community voices.
My proficiency extends to various domains such as advocacy, communication, and training wherein I have supervised teams, aligning their efforts with legislative priorities and grassroots needs. Navigating through complex scenarios where diplomacy, policy expertise, and strategic engagement converge to serve the public good is my forte.
My certification as a mediator represents another hat I proudly wear. I have resolved intricate disputes in civil, family, and administrative settings, accomplishing a success rate of over 90%. Respect, active listening, and fair resolutions form the cornerstone of my profession, thereby facilitating me to calmly navigate contentious situations and guide a diverse range of parties towards cooperation and understanding.
Driven by principled leadership rooted in compassion and service, I am a firm believer in the notion that justice must be both accessible and collaborative. Join me in my journey of instilling justice and employing effective policies, one case at a time.
